Health and Safety on location

Health and Safety at work act 1974
This act is in place to protect both employees and employers.  It lets both parties know their responsibilities and the impact any inappropriate action could have on others or themselves.  Every employer has a duty to make sure employees are trained and aware how to use any equipment required in the employee job role.  Equipment required to complete tasks at work must also be suitably maintained or serviced. This is a  legal requirement to be aware of.

The Wildlife and Countryside Act
This act protects the countryside and makes it an offence to pick wild flowers and deliberately disturb nature. Whilst taking images you must ensure that you are not being intrusive to your surroundings or damaging any local wildlife.  Sites of special Interest is included in this act which protects some of the country best wildlife and geological sites.  When taking images of these areas it is important to preserve our natural heritage for future generations to enjoy.

With the above legislation in mind I need to make sure that whilst I am trying to get great composure of my pictures I'm not damaging any of the natural world around and also be careful not to trip slip or fall over any broken logs or wet leaves that may be around my feet! I also need to be mindful that there are poisonous plants and mushrooms that are a hazard and could cause an allergic reaction.

Hope you are well and having time to do some more research and photography. Keep taking photos for both themes and label the blogs once you have loaded them onto your blog.
Keep both your themes afloat at the same time and look again at you paperwork for your units to make sure that you are covering everything.
Contact me if you need any help at all,

Can you also please keep in touch with Nat as I need to see you commenting on each others work as it will help you both.
